L’Occitane is a French cosmetic brand whose history dates back to 1976. Their products – perfumes and cosmetics – are known and loved by customers in dozens of countries.

L’Occitane asked us to move their online store to Shopify Plus from the previous platform. Poland was the first region where the company decided to try Shopify. They loved it, and now we are working on opening stores in other locations.

Technical Solution

We have used the top features for the Top Culture website as per the client’s requirements, Using PSD designs, including multiple features such as Instagram feed, Shop the Look, Notifications.

Planning and Designing

L’Occitane decided to migrate to Shopify because of the technological limitations of their previous e-commerce solution that were slowing down their teams in each market. Another motivator was increasing flexibility, autonomy and independence. 

An undeniable challenge was the existing technological architecture – an ecosystem of tools used to run e-commerce globally – including Cegid ERP. Another big challenge was the combination of online and offline sales (implementation of e.g. click & collect service)

Another critical aspect in projects of this type is the migration of large amounts of data (products, orders, customer data).


In our partnership with Loccatian, we successfully completed the project within a dedicated timeline of 30 days, ensuring seamless functionality and performance. Our ongoing focus remains on refining their marketing strategies to foster organic growth within the competitive cosmetics market.

This collaboration has been an exhilarating journey, marked by formidable obstacles that we overcame with ingenuity and determination, reinforcing our commitment to progress and excellence.

A significant challenge we encountered was enhancing Loccatian’s market performance. To address this, we devised innovative approaches to connect with the target audience effectively, amplifying their brand visibility and engagement.

To augment their digital presence further, we facilitated Loccatian’s prominent listing on Google Business, ensuring prominent visibility across key search terms. Additionally, we granted access to our extensive digital repository, equipping them with an array of visually appealing resources such as high-quality images, striking icons, and diverse fonts, enabling them to elevate their cosmetic business effectively.
